Yavneh defeated Mc Kinney Christian 46-18 Tuesday evening. The win improves the Bulldogs record to 6-1.
Mc Kinney Christian was feeling pretty good after scoring the first bucket Tuesday. However, the next 32 points went Yavneh’s way. A night removed from high late-game drama, the Bulldogs eliminated any drama with a sound drubbing of Mc Kinney Christian. David Naxon and Elan Kogutt combined for 25 of the 46 points and the Bulldogs coasted to the finish. The 32-2 halftime lead was the season’s best first half performance. Joe Lerer, Shimi Wolk, Nadav Osterreicher, and Ethan Prescott all made scoring contributions in the second half to put away the game. Senior Erez Krengel missed the game while still healing from a mild shoulder injury. Also of note, several Yavneh coaches including Head Coach Chad Baruch missed the game to attend the wedding of former Yavneh great Itzy Ribald. Chris Walker soundly coached the Bulldogs to victory in his absence. Yavneh (6-1) will play Thomas Jefferson Public High School Tuesday night looking to win two straight against Dallas public school competition.
