About The Kennel Report

In 2004, several Yavneh alumni along with an exuberant set of twin brothers from Tennessee identified the need to stay informed on the happenings of Yavneh basketball. For those away at school, beginning jobs and new lives in other geographies, and that had moved away, there was a strong desire to stay current with the most revered and premier program in sports. And so from the kitchen table at 6130 Linden Lane in Dallas, Texas, a publication was born chronicling every game that the Yavneh Bulldogs Boys varsity basketball team has played ever since. With the consistency and dependency that the Kennel Report has become known for, through wins and losses, jubilation and heartbreak, great days and ones that we all are better having experienced, these reports have been a mainstay of Yavneh basketball. The community has supported the Kennel Report staff, consisting of an international team that reviews, analyzes, and overthinks game after game from Dallas to Vietnam. The product that is received by so many around the globe after a Yavneh game is courtesy of much hard work and dedication from countless Kennel Report staffers. In 2018, the tough decision was made to transition the release time from all hours of a post-game night to the next morning by 9am Central time. While this was initially met with severe consternation, the health benefits of the Kennel Report server etc have benefited greatly. The Kennel Report has been lauded as a coaching tool based on accountability, comedic relief, a marketing tool for Yavneh basketball, and of course a bridge for generations of players to celebrate their history with pride. This website was created to catalog the history of the Kennel Report, celebrating Yavneh basketball and enabling players, alumni, and supporters to easily find any game they wish to relive.
